Subject [jira] [Created] (AMBARI-12365) Ensure appropriate defaults are set for yarn.timeline-service.leveldb-state-store.path and mapreduce.jobhistory.recovery.store.leveldb.path
Date Thu, 09 Jul 2015 21:22:06 GMT
Sumit Mohanty created AMBARI-12365:
--------------------------------------

             Summary: Ensure appropriate defaults are set for yarn.timeline-service.leveldb-state-store.path
and mapreduce.jobhistory.recovery.store.leveldb.path
                 Key: AMBARI-12365
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-12365
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: stacks
    Affects Versions: 2.1.0
            Reporter: Sumit Mohanty
            Assignee: Sumit Mohanty
            Priority: Critical
             Fix For: 2.1.0

These two properties should not have equal values. It can be like below:
{code}
yarn.timeline-service.leveldb-state-store.path = /grid/0/hadoop/yarn/timeline
mapreduce.jobhistory.recovery.store.leveldb.path = /grid/0/hadoop/mapreduce/jhs
{code}

>From the patch (AMBARI-12276), it also prints warning msgs if two properties are not equal,
 which is not correct.
{code}
 "The mapred-site.xml property mapreduce.jobhistory.recovery.store.leveldb.path should be
set. Please note that \"mapreduce.jobhistory.recovery.store.leveldb.path\" should be set equal
to \"yarn.timeline-service.leveldb-state-store.path\" for consistency.");
{code}
