Subject [jira] [Created] (AMBARI-12317) False alert on "NameNode High Availability Health" due to Missing JMX objects
Date Tue, 07 Jul 2015 17:49:05 GMT
Jonathan Hurley created AMBARI-12317:
----------------------------------------

             Summary: False alert on "NameNode High Availability Health" due to Missing JMX
objects
                 Key: AMBARI-12317
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-12317
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: ambari-server
    Affects Versions: 2.0.0
            Reporter: Jonathan Hurley
            Assignee: Jonathan Hurley
             Fix For: 2.1.0

HDP 2.0.11 produces an alert for NameNode HA. The script is making a call to jmx, which works
fine in HDP 2.2.0:

{code}
namenode:50070/jmx?qry=Hadoop:service=NameNode,name=NameNodeStatus
{code}
Returns:
{code}
    "name" : "Hadoop:service=NameNode,name=NameNodeStatus",
    "modelerType" : "org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.namenode.NameNode",
    "NNRole" : "NameNode",
    "HostAndPort" : "cn030.l42scl.hortonworks.com:8020",
    "SecurityEnabled" : true,
    "State" : "active"
  } ]
}
{code}

In case of HDP 2.0.11, it returns:
{code}
{
  "beans" : [ ]
}
{code}
