Jeff Sposetti commented on AMBARI-10360:
----------------------------------------

To apply the attached file to an Ambari 2.0.0:
1. Download the attached hive_service.py file.
2. On the Ambari Server host, replace /var/lib/ambari-server/resources/common-services/HIVE/0.12.0.2.0/package/scripts/hive_service.py
with the attached file
3. Restart Ambari Server.
4. From Ambari Web, browse to Services > Hive and perform Hive stop/start to make sure
it is working properly

> When you have databases with a LOCATION that is outside of the hive.metastore.warehouse.dir,
the start operations fails as it attempts to run the hive metatool service. This prevents
HS2 from being started until you drop all tables that are outside of the hive.metastore.warehouse.dir.
