Alejandro Fernandez commented on AMBARI-6690:
---------------------------------------------

Recoverable in the sense that the hostcomponentstate and hostcomponentdesiredstate tables
get into a funky state, but if my memory serves right, I've seen this remedied by restarting
ambari server and letting the agents heartbeat for a while (potentially restarting them too).

> At times hosts move to Invalid state and restart of components throw "Host role in invalid
state".
> One way to fix this issue is to ssh into the hosts and run ambari-agent restart
> http://hortonworks.com/community/forums/topic/host-role-in-invalid-state/
> Ambari web interface being single point to manage cluster must provide option to restart
ambari-agent. It looses its purpose if one has to manually ssh into the hosts.
