Subject [jira] [Created] (AMBARI-8717) Ambari security setup wizard ignores principal names and keytab files specified
Date Mon, 15 Dec 2014 17:03:13 GMT
Steve Loughran created AMBARI-8717:
--------------------------------------

Summary: Ambari security setup wizard ignores principal names and keytab files
specified
                 Key: AMBARI-8717
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-8717
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: security
    Affects Versions: 1.7.0
         Environment: CentOs
            Reporter: Steve Loughran

I'm going to demonstrate this with screenshots & the hosts.csv file, but the key point
is: if you try to configure the principal names or keytab names for specific services in the
security setup, these settings will not be propagated to the application configurations.

As a result, security does not work: your cluster lacks the keytabs and principals expected
