Subject [jira] [Created] (AMBARI-6511) Flume agent on 1 out of 3 hosts not showing in table
Date Wed, 16 Jul 2014 16:52:04 GMT
Antonenko Alexander created AMBARI-6511:
-------------------------------------------

             Summary: Flume agent on 1 out of 3 hosts not showing in table
                 Key: AMBARI-6511
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-6511
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Task
          Components: client
    Affects Versions: 1.7.0
            Reporter: Antonenko Alexander
            Assignee: Antonenko Alexander
            Priority: Critical
             Fix For: 1.7.0
         Attachments: 1111.png

I did default install on 3 hosts cluster. Then I added an agent in Flume configs given below.
{code}
# Name the components on this agent
a1.sources = r1
a1.sinks = k1
a1.channels = c1
#
# # Describe/configure the source
a1.sources.r1.type = netcat
a1.sources.r1.bind = localhost
a1.sources.r1.port = 44444
#
# # Describe the sink
#a1.sinks.k1.type = logger
a1.sinks.k1.type = hdfs
a1.sinks.k1.hdfs.path = /tmp/%y-%m-%d/%H%M/%S
a1.sinks.k1.hdfs.filePrefix = events-
a1.sinks.k1.hdfs.round = true
a1.sinks.k1.hdfs.roundValue = 1
a1.sinks.k1.hdfs.roundUnit = minute
a1.sinks.k1.hdfs.useLocalTimeStamp = true
#
# # Use a channel which buffers events in memory
a1.channels.c1.type = memory
a1.channels.c1.capacity = 1000
a1.channels.c1.transactionCapacity = 100
#
# # Bind the source and sink to the channel
a1.sources.r1.channels = c1
a1.sinks.k1.channel = c1
{code}

I restarted only 1 FLUME_HANDLER agent on 3rd host. However the agent does not show in table.
It does however in the OK alert (see image attached)

The below host_component correctly emits 1 process agent as running.
