Srimanth Gunturi commented on AMBARI-3676:
------------------------------------------

[~erinaboyd], what I meant was that the the 'repoid' element should have the same value as
your alternate stack.
{code}
....
<os type="redhat6">
    <repo>
      <baseurl>http://public-repo-1.hortonworks.com/HDP/centos6/1.x/updates/1.3.2.0</baseurl>
      <repoid>HDP-1.3.2a</repoid>
      <reponame>HDP</reponame>
    </repo>
  </os>
....
{code}

I was able to reproduce your original problem, and change repoid's fixed it, and was able
to continue to next steps.
Basically the UI now validates that the provided repository URLs can serve the requested stacks,
and none were found for "1.3.2a" stack.
Hope that helps.

>                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-3676
>             Project: Ambari
>          Issue Type: Bug

>
> If you add a custom stack to the /src/main/resources/stacks/HDP/ dir when it is displayed
on the second screen of the wizard, none of the links to the HDP repo work ,even though they
are EXACTLY the same as when it's the 1.3.2 stack.
