Puppet site apply hangs on following command:

su - ambari-qa -c 'hbase --config /etc/hbase/conf shell /tmp/hbaseSmoke.sh'.
Namenode logs shows following error:

ERROR org.apache.hadoop.security.UserGroupInformation: PriviledgedActionException as:hbase/ip-10-34-158-79.ec2.internal@EXAMPLE.COM
cause:org.apache.hadoop.security.AccessControlException: Permission denied: user=hbase, access=WRITE,
