Eroma commented on AIRAVATA-2301:
---------------------------------

OII gateway PI wants to define inputs with argument to be available only if the user provides
a value. So we need to set the input as optional.
Can we please fix this?

According to [~smarru] this field is there in the application interface to make inputs optional.
Current optional inputs set to True only works for uploading files. Doesn't work for other
input types such as STRING, INTEGER and also cannot provide arguments.

> Currently we set this field to 'True' as a practice. Even when this is set to false still
the input is mandatory at experiment creation, edit and clone.
> Currently the system has another separate implementation to attach optional input files.
Still we cannot make any other type of input (string, number, etc) optional.
> Hense this flag need to be fixed so then we could make any selected type of an input
optional at experiment creation level
