Chathuri Wimalasena commented on AIRAVATA-1379:
-----------------------------------------------

We are using now() and CURRENT_TIMESTAMP() functions when we update the time. In MySQL now()
function uses system timestamp. We can change it to use UTC or any other standard timezone
by adding the timestamp when we start mysql server. (mysqld_safe).

> The PGA gateway uses PHP's date() function to convert Airavata's time integer into human-readable
form. This results in a warning message:
> Warning: date(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings.
> The solution is to set the time zone. This can either be done in the PHP pages that use
date() or else globally in php.ini file, but I prefer the former since it makes PGA more self-contained.

> We need however to confirm the timezone of the timestamp returned by Airavata.
