However we are not sure if it's possible to trigger a rpg app\program on AS/400 based on a message arrival in a queue. The forums\articles I have found so far seems to indicate that messages need to be pulled from queues for which a process\polling job need to runs regularly (either as a daemon or a cron). Is it possible to turn this into a push mechanism? That is, is there a way to have the Message Queue actually initiate a program\process when a message arrives?
