What's the size of your heap here?

Ultimately, the issue is with the way the broker works with paging in
messages and applying the selectors.

Selectors are only applied once messages have been paged in from store. So
if you have 1000 1MB messages ahead of the message you're interested in,
you'll have to make sure your memory settings and store-page settings can
handle that.
