Subject reply has no consumer
Date Wed, 10 Feb 2010 08:23:04 GMT

I set up a sample activemq application using

http://blog.springsource.com/2006/08/11/message-driven-pojos/

the sequence for initiating a message request, and have the server part
process the request all worked, and the processRequest() method is returning
a reply.

But the client side which listens to the replyQueue does not respond. and
the admin page says there is no consumer for the replyQueue.

the client-context.xml has the message container and listener declared, and
look correct to me.

    <import resource="shared-context.xml"/>

    <bean id="replyNotifier" class="org.appfuse.jms.ReplyNotifier" />

    <bean id="listener"
class="org.springframework.jms.listener.adapter.MessageListenerAdapter">
        <property name="delegate" ref="replyNotifier"/>
        <property name="defaultListenerMethod" value="notify"/>
    </bean>

    <bean id="container"
class="org.springframework.jms.listener.SimpleMessageListenerContainer">
        <property name="connectionFactory" ref="connectionFactory"/>
        <property name="messageListener" ref="listener"/>
        <property name="destination" ref="replyQueue"/>
    </bean>

How would you go about debugging something like this? is there a way to
check what prevented the message listener from registering with the broker?
