After a few rearranngements, I was able to get this to work.  Here's how I
ran the command:

...he-activemq-5.2.0> bin/activemq-admin stop --jmxurl
service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://localhost:61618/jmxrmi   

This would be good info to put on http://activemq.apache.org/jmx.html.
