Hi,

the reason map messages are not supported in the rest interface is
because there is no appropriate default representation of map messages
in the HTTP response.

You can, for example, use message transformers

http://activemq.apache.org/message-transformation.html

to convert your map messages to text messages with xml/json
representation of maps.
