Subject Request for patch: http-proxy -> setting user / password not possible
Date Tue, 22 Apr 2008 09:33:25 GMT

Hey ho,

according to the release notes of AMQ 4.1.1:
http://activemq.apache.org/activemq-411-release.html
there is support for AMQ over http-proxies.

When i look at the source-code, specifically

* org.apache.activemq.transport.http.HttpClientTransport
* org.apache.activemq.transport.http.HttpTransportSupport

i can see that this is implemented using org.apache.commons.httpclient.

Unfortunately, there is no way to authenticate against proxies using a user
/ password combination.

Is it planned to support this in the near future (should not be that
difficult to implement since the httpclient already offers such a feature)?

I believe i am not the only one being in need of a feature like this.....
