I got activemq code version 4.2 revision 537377 from subversion repository
and build it using maven like explained in
http://activemq.apache.org/building.html

# java -version
java version "1.6.0_01"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_01-b06)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0_01-b06, mixed mode, sharing)

all build was success as follow

I use the compiled binary file
assembly/target/apache-activemq-4.2-SNAPSHOT.tar.gz to run ActiveMQ broker.
After start ActiveMQ and use Spark as explained in
http://activemq.apache.org/xmpp.html connect to ActiveMQ xmpp broker port
61222 I got this exception in log file.

Exception in thread "ActiveMQ Transport Server: xmpp://localhost:61222"
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/stream/XMLStreamException
        at
org.apache.activemq.transport.xmpp.XmppTransportServer.createTransport(XmppTransportServer.java:42)
        at
org.apache.activemq.transport.tcp.TcpTransportServer.run(TcpTransportServer.java:173)
        at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:595)

I'd investigated to the problem and found that there are many jar file
missing from ActiveMQ, consist of

- jaxb-api-2.0.jar
- jsr173_api-1.0.jar
- jaxb-impl-2.0.2.jar
- activation-1.1.jar
- stax-1.1.1-dev.jar

all jar file found in maven .m2/repository in my home directory

after no exception was fired the Spark still can not login to ActiveMQ debug
information in data/activemq.log not help

2007-05-12 18:16:40,028 [50.212.250:2994] DEBUG XmppTransport

2007-05-12 18:16:40,079 [localhost:61222] DEBUG XmppTransport
