Hi James,
Am using Spring to start ActiveMQ. My xml contains following entry

<bean id="jmsFactory"
class="org.apache.activemq.pool.PooledConnectionFactory">
	<property name="connectionFactory">
	<bean class="org.apache.activemq.ActiveMQConnectionFactory">
		<property name="brokerURL">
			<value>tcp://localhost:61401</value>
		</property>
		<property name="optimizedMessageDispatch" value="true" />
		<property name="copyMessageOnSend" value="false" />
		<property name="optimizeAcknowledge" value="true" />
		<property name="alwaysSessionAsync" value="true" />
		<property name="asyncDispatch" value="true" />
		<property name="useAsyncSend" value="true" />
	</bean>
	</property>
</bean>

<bean id="broker" class="org.apache.activemq.xbean.BrokerFactoryBean"
abstract="false" singleton="true" lazy-init="default" autowire="default"
dependency-check="default">
 		<property name="config" value="classpath:ActiveMq.xml" />
		<property name="start" value="true" />
</bean>

Regards,
Kapil
