The shutdown hook catches this, and logs the message ActiveMQ Message Broker (localhost, ID:dev-app03-42662-1152755823894-1:0) is shutting down ... but hangs there. The process is still running... Can you please explain what could be causing this? If this is correct behaviour - for example the broker is waiting for clients to disconnect? - what would be the correct way to cleanly force a shutdown of the broker???
