Subject [jira] [Commented] (AMQ-5949) does not provide guaranteed message forwarding
Date Thu, 10 Sep 2015 15:54:46 GMT

Timothy Bish commented on AMQ-5949:

Changing the default behaviour at this stage in the game would probably just confuse existing
users, plus the next person to come along and use it might want it to default to 20, 200 or
33.3333. Better you configure it to match the requirements of your specific use case and
business rules.

> When using an OutboundQueueBridge associated with a SimpleJmsQueueConnector bean I have
observed the default ReconnectionPolicy.maxSendRetries value of 10 to result in message loss
if the connection to destination server is unreliable. (messages that are not delivered to
destination within maxSendRetries are still acknowledged as having been consumed by processing
of later messages)

implementation to interpret a ReconnectionPolicy.maxSendRetries property value of -1 as infinity?
