I experience exaclty the same problem: a slow leakeage due to temp queues that are not deleted.
Since org.apache.activemq.broker.region.RegionBroker uses a Scheduler to activate the purgeInactiveDestinations,
a crashed timer could explain why purgeInactiveDestinations stops working.
