Subject [jira] [Commented] (AMQ-2106) Allow broker to evenly distribute message groups among consumers
Date Fri, 28 Sep 2012 21:19:08 GMT

Gary Tully commented on AMQ-2106:

To give better distribution to new consumers, I changed the default priority order to take
the group load into account, which gives consumers with no assigned groups priority with in
their range.
I would be great if folks could try it out (tonights 5.7-SNAPSHOT) and if they have some junit
test cases that demonstrate their usage to add them to this jira and we can work on further

> Currently the broker will not reassign message groups if new consumers becomes available
(or existing ones are removed). We could allow the broker to try reassign the message groups
when consumers are added/removed so that we have a even distribution among consumers.
