Subject [jira] Created: (AMQCPP-190) setStringProperty() max length
Date Wed, 30 Jul 2008 22:40:00 GMT
setStringProperty() max length
------------------------------

                 Key: AMQCPP-190
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/AMQCPP-190
             Project: ActiveMQ C++ Client
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: CMS Impl
    Affects Versions: 2.1.3
         Environment: Windows XP SP2
            Reporter: Eddie Fast
            Assignee: Nathan Mittler
         Attachments: main.cpp

Initially reported here  http://www.nabble.com/CMS---setStringProperty%28%29-max-length-td18577838.html

Using main.cpp in \activemq-cpp-2.1\src\examples\ to reproduce the issue:

If I set the text in the TextMessage to something very large (I was successful at even 2meg),
the message sends / receives fine.

However, if I set a StringProperty on that message to something large (I hit a limit at 32800,
probably 32767?), then it crashes.

Should be simple to re-create. I've attached the modified main.cpp (see HelloWorldProducer::run()
)

Should the max TextMessage size apply to StringProperties as well? Or do they have different
behavior?

Here's the output from my exception:
