Sreenivasa R Sama commented on AMQ-122:
---------------------------------------

I am using activeMQ 4.0.1 version and i added "jmsPriority" enabled in my broker's config
file,

<broker name="myBroker" useJmx="true" supportJMSPriority="true">
  ......
  ......
</broker>

When i started the broker on command line, I got the following error:

$ bin/activemq
ACTIVEMQ_HOME: c:\activemq401
Loading message broker from: xbean:activemq.xml
ERROR: java.lang.RuntimeException: Failed to execute start task. Reason: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException:

ean.XBeanBrokerService]: Bean property 'supportJMSPriority' is not writable or h
as an invalid setter method: Does the parameter type of the setter match the ret
urn type of the getter?
ERROR: java.lang.Exception: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationExcept
ion: Error creating bean with name 'myBroker' defined in class path resource [ac
tivemq.xml]: Error setting property values; nested exception is org.springframew
ork.beans.NotWritablePropertyException: Invalid property 'supportJMSPriority' of
 bean class [org.apache.activemq.xbean.XBeanBrokerService]: Bean property 'suppo
rtJMSPriority' is not writable or has an invalid setter method: Does the paramet
er type of the setter match the return type of the getter?

Is this problem happening only on 4.0.1 version of activeMQ ? is it fixed in 4.2 ?

Please help and clarify how i can enable priority for messages, producers and consumers.
