I'm also seeing this from chromium running secure websockets. 

Chromium 22.0.1229.94 on Debian 7.2.

On the same broker chrome 35.0.1916.114 m works fine under secure.

Apollo 1.6 and 1.7

It looks like its an issue directly with Chromium and therefore chrome.
