Subject [jira] [Commented] (APLO-304) Inconsistent documentation wrt connector buffer size options

Lionel Cons commented on APLO-304:
----------------------------------

This looks much clearer now, thanks.

IMHO, it would make sense to change the buffer size option descriptions from "Sets the size
of the internal socket receive|send buffer" to "Sets the initial size of the internal socket
receive|send buffer".

The paragraph after the example should also be changed to explain that the buffers may grow
or shrink if they are being auto-tuned.

BTW, this same paragraph should start with "Note that & was used to separate the option
values instead of just & since" instead of "Note that & was used to separate the option
values instead of just & since" ;-)

> The user manual has a "connectors" section describing the receive_buffer_size and send_buffer_size
options:
> They are described via "A connector element can be configured with the following attributes"
so one would expect to use:
> <connector id="tcp" bind="tcp://0.0.0.0:61613" receive_buffer_size="1024">
> but later in the manual we see:
> <connector id="tcp" bind="tcp://0.0.0.0:61613?receive_buffer_size=1024&max_read_rate=65536"/>
> So, what is the correct way to specify these options: as eponymous attributes? as part
of the bind attribute URL? both?
