I have run Accumulo on EC2 and will be loading it again next week for a
class I teach.  I had some challenges with EC2 and Zookeeper as well, but I
am pretty sure I fixed it when I added ZOOKEEPER_HOME to hadoop-env.xml and
restarted hadoop.
