Just to be clear, choke == "throw an exception"?

Assuming so, yes, it's crappy that we have to introspect the classpath at all to do this,
but that's a drawback of how we do the minicluster as separate processes instead of in-JVM.
No, it doesn't have to. You're welcome to make this work with sbt. Alternatively, if you can
provide some environment/instructions on how to show the failure, you might convince one of
the devs to take a look at it on their own to fix it :)
