Keith Turner commented on ACCUMULO-4068:
----------------------------------------

Trying to instantiate class seems like a nice check to do, so I would not want to remove.
However we could only do that check if a no-arg constructor exists.

> I was trying to use instanceOperations().testClassLoad() to check if a the RegExGroupBalancer
was available. This class was added in 1.7, so I did not want to attempt to configure it
in 1.6.
> Unexpectedly the call to testClassLoad() failed in 1.7. I looked into the cause and
it turns out the implementation of testClassLoad() also tries to instantiate the class after
loading using a noarg constructor. Because of ACCUMULO-4047 the RegexGroupBalancer does not
have a noarg constructor.
