Subject [jira] [Resolved] (ACCUMULO-3961) Filters should be able to skip data that they know will fail
Date Tue, 18 Aug 2015 05:51:46 GMT

Josh Elser resolved ACCUMULO-3961.
    Resolution: Fixed

Squashed and applied the changes on Thanks again
for the contribution. This is a very nice addition.

We can address follow-up work in new issue(s) -- integration tests, any extra docs, and backports
onto 1.6 or 1.7.

Because I squashed your changes, Github won't auto-close the PR, so if you could do so, that'd
be great, Russ.

> A [filter|]
should be able to cause its source to advance past key/value pairs that it knows will be blocked
by the filter. For example, the [ColumnSliceFilter|]
should be able to advance to the beginning of the slice in the next row, if it has detected
that it has reached the end of the slice in the current row.
> Inspired by HBase's [FilterBase|]
and [ColumnRangeFilter|].
