Reading that script, it appears to perform a loop of "start normally", "wait for it to exit",
"check the output". This means that it would not actually perform any rotation of the logs.

This makes it more difficult to debug failures if you have something like puppet or supervisord
ensuring that your processes are always running. We should figure out how to roll the files
instead.
