Josh Elser commented on ACCUMULO-3858:
--------------------------------------

I polled 'wchs' 5 times in the test to see how it changes with a 5s delay between each call.
Something like the following is typical.

{noformat}
2015-05-27 20:46:10,695 [functional.WatchTheWatchCountIT] INFO : Total: 530
2015-05-27 20:46:15,699 [functional.WatchTheWatchCountIT] INFO : Total: 665
2015-05-27 20:46:20,703 [functional.WatchTheWatchCountIT] INFO : Total: 669
2015-05-27 20:46:25,708 [functional.WatchTheWatchCountIT] INFO : Total: 669
2015-05-27 20:46:30,711 [functional.WatchTheWatchCountIT] INFO : Total: 669

The first call is usually between 500 and 600 (as the test tries to assert), but subsequent
calls typically increase by ~100 to the 600-700 range. cc/ [~ecn]

> Saw a test failure in automated testing
> {noformat}
> Total watches was not greater than 500, but was 495
> {noformat}
> If we had less watchers than we expected, I'm guessing that means that each table wasn't
fully online yet and thus not all of the watches were set for each tablet.
