The question about Darwin was because JAVA_HOME is set differently for Darwin, so we'd have
to do the check for both. But, the Darwin check may not be necessary if all Macs (that we
care about) come pre-installed with JDK.

Either it's extracted from the environment or it's set in accumulo-env.sh.
