Subject [jira] [Commented] (ACCUMULO-3652) Remove string concatenation in log statements where slf4j is used.
Date Thu, 09 Apr 2015 22:29:12 GMT

Christopher Tubbs commented on ACCUMULO-3652:

There may already be existing sub-tasks of the parent issue of this one (ACCUMULO-1242), which
might more appropriately reflect those harder parts. This one is pretty narrow: removing string

If you feel something is a clearly distinct task, please feel free to create a sub-task. I
realize some things aren't so clear, so just use your best judgment.

BTW, for accumulo-test, it may be fine to leave a direct dependency on log4j there... It's
just a module for testing other components. We don't package it, and it will have minimal
impact users. It's probably still useful to use slf4j where we can, for consistency, but if
there's a particularly difficult part, I wouldn't worry about it in that module too much.

> As a separate task, continue with the conversion to remove log4j dependencies, modify
log statements where string concatenation is used and replace with {} parameter substitution.
