Subject [jira] [Commented] (ACCUMULO-2861) Make all config stored in zookeeper human readable
Date Mon, 09 Jun 2014 14:02:01 GMT

Keith Turner commented on ACCUMULO-2861:

I was looking around in the code and found one of the things I have bumped into before. Table
permissions, system permission, and namespace permission are encoded using the binary ordinals
of the enum. So when dumping zookeeper a lot of base64 shows up instead of things like READ,WRITE,
etc.  In 1.6 the code that does this encoding is in {{}}

remember the specific offenders, but I think some values stored in zookeeper use binary serialization.
 Using something like json for these values would be much nicer.
