Corey J. Nolet commented on ACCUMULO-1079:
------------------------------------------

I figured out my issue- I'm using an unconventional method for writing the output files (MultipleOutputs)
and I didn't flush the writer before I tried to bulk ingest. The path that I went down as
a result of not seeing an EOFException was rather rigorous and I do think it would be useful
at least to have the exception get attached to the warning on the server side.

> Key: ACCUMULO-1079
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ACCUMULO-1079
> Project: Accumulo
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: tserver
> Affects Versions: 1.4.2
> Environment: large cluster
> Reporter: Eric Newton
>
> Two tservers were complaining constantly "Unable to find tablets that overlap file" during
bulk import operations. Restarting those tablet servers caused the complaints to stop.
> # cannot tell from the message what exception occured
> # it seems likely that the tablet locator cache might not have been cleared on an exception
