Bill Havanki commented on ACCUMULO-1796:
----------------------------------------

I compiled 1.4.5-SNAPSHOT against Hadoop 0.20.203.0 and tested it on a (single-node) cluster
running Hadoop 2.2.0. I encountered a problem running the MapReduceTest functional test:

{noformat}
java.lang.IncompatibleClassChangeError: Found interface org.apache.hadoop.mapreduce.JobContext,
but class was expected
{noformat}

This is most likely what Sean was recalling as a problem in the extensive comments for ACCUMULO-1793.
I take this as an indication that the build will not work properly under Hadoop 2.2.0. [~ecn]
had not reported a problem, however, so that needs to be checked.

The build is running fine on a (single-node) cluster running Hadoop 1.2.1. This includes:
all functional tests passing (simple and stress), > 20 minutes continuous ingest validated,
and I'm working on some benchmarks. I may continue on to try Hadoop 1.0.4, although I'd expect
it to also succeed.
