Mike Drob commented on ACCUMULO-1403:
-------------------------------------

Using config is burdensome when trying to set an iterator on all three scopes, as it turns
into a minimum of 6 commands to execute (setting class name and priority for each scope).
If I have to start manually configuring options, then that is even _more_ work on my part.

Another alternative is to prompt for generic key-values to feed into an option map. Doing
this in conjunction with the proposed warning might be enough information to the user.

> When providing a class that implements SortedKeyValueIterator, but not OptionDescriber,
to setiter, the command fails.
> For example, the following command fails:
> {noformat}
> setiter -class org.apache.accumulo.core.iterators.ColumnFamilyCounter -p 1
> {noformat}
> More reasonable behaviour might be to set the iterator without needing the user to input
extra options.
