[~elserj] I think what I have now allows you to do what you are looking for in addition to
what I have. For example:

{code}
-a arg1=value1,arg2=value2
{code}

could also be written as

{code}
-a argv="value1 value2"
{code}

and then the script would have to parse out the commands from the argv variable.
