Subject [jira] [Commented] (ACCUMULO-1346) deleterows should take a -r option
Date Wed, 08 May 2013 23:43:16 GMT

Drew Farris commented on ACCUMULO-1346:

root@test foo> deleterows -b dddd -e dddd
2013-05-08 19:40:15,195 [shell.Shell] ERROR: org.apache.accumulo.core.client.AccumuloException:
start row must be less than end row

So much for simply mapping {{-r dddd}} to be effectively {{-b dddd -e dddd}}

Regardless of the approach, looks like the current best approach would be to take advantage
of OptUtil in trunk and 1.5

> deleterows only allows an exclusive begin row and an inclusive end row. This is difficult
to use for deleting a single (large) row. It would be nice if a user could specify -r, similar
to scan.
