With the recreating of VFS to get around the issues, they are not counting. But that's a hack around the other issue.

I don't think class unloading would actually help. The issue is that the Resource and the actual file get out of sync, so when it uses the Resource to determine if the jar is accurate it gets a truncated file exception. I would think it would be a class unloading issue if it failed to show any changes with a new jar.
