Subject [jira] [Commented] (ACCUMULO-1145) Mock should implement compactions
Date Mon, 29 Apr 2013 15:10:15 GMT

Keith Turner commented on ACCUMULO-1145:

bq. the ability to easily step through the iterator with a debugger in an accumulo-like stack
is substantially beneficial.

While it would not be as easy as Mock, it would be very useful if MiniAccumuloCluster could
configure the java processes it starts with JVM options to enable remote debugging. I will
open a ticket for that.

> Mock currently cannot do minor or major compactions. It would be useful for debugging
iterators if the mock could simulate some or all of compaction behavior. Perhaps the mock
can have a second map representing HDFS and compact into that map.
