Subject [jira] [Commented] (ACCUMULO-1145) Mock should implement compactions
Date Mon, 29 Apr 2013 14:50:17 GMT

John Vines commented on ACCUMULO-1145:

While I find MiniAccumuloCluster great for testing, I find it pretty horrendous to debug against
compared to Mock. Without rehashing my argument for keeping Mock, the ability to easily step
through the iterator with a debugger in an accumulo-like stack is substantially beneficial.

> Mock currently cannot do minor or major compactions. It would be useful for debugging
iterators if the mock could simulate some or all of compaction behavior. Perhaps the mock
can have a second map representing HDFS and compact into that map.
