Eric Newton commented on ACCUMULO-594:
--------------------------------------

That would be great, Supun!

The monitor is a simple web server that pulls metrics from other components in Accumulo. It's
the first place I go to look for problems.

This ticket is to add graphs for each table and server in the cluster. But there's a lot
of things that could be done in the monitor.

[See the list|https://issues.apache.org/jira/issues/?jql=project%20%3D%20ACCUMULO%20AND%20component%20%3D%20monitor%20AND%20resolution%20%3D%20Unresolved%20and%20type%20%3D%20Improvement]

In particular, it's important to look for outliers: hotspots, slow performance. The current
monitor lets users sort long lists of numerical information. But that's not much of a visualization.

> The monitor overview page plots accumulo performance data over time for all tables.
I would like to be able to see this data over time per table (and maybe per tablet server).
Could add this to the monitor page. Eric suggested maybe using OpenTSDB to collect and view
this data.
