Subject [jira] [Commented] (ACCUMULO-498) Key.getColumnVisibility() should return a ColumnVisibility, not a Text
Date Tue, 05 Feb 2013 21:39:13 GMT

Josh Elser commented on ACCUMULO-498:

I don't mind having the convenience method on Key to get the CV as a ColumnVisibility instead
of Text, but I would like to see a nice warning on the getColumnVisibility method which returns
a ColumnVisibility warning of the slowness in always recreating a new ColumnVisibility.

> Currently getColumnVisibility() returns a Text. This doesn't make a lot of sense, since
all other methods dealing with column visibilities use the ColumnVisibility object. We should
use that instead.
