    Ok, if you are confident in these changes and have tested them on a real system, then
I have a commensurate degree of trust in the change. I assume that was a 1.6 cluster? Are
you able to also test against a 1.7 or 1.8 cluster? I'm at a loss to do my own testing since
I don't have the ability to reproduce your original problem (you're using that custom iterator).
I hope you understand my hesitance around changes which I am unable to reproduce or show are
fixed with your changes. I'm not trying to be a pain.
    
    More testing would be great, but I don't think we need to let this sit further if you
are confident already. The additional testing/unit-tests can be done out of band since we're
not actively in a release process for 1.7 or 1.8.
