We include generated thrift files in the commits, because most of the
time these don't change and people (developers, contributors) don't
need to generate them on every build.

To avoid generating them, don't run the build with the thrift profile
enabled (e.g. don't execute with -P thrift).

However, even if you do generate them, it shouldn't matter, because
they shouldn't differ from what's committed.
