Since Accumulo does not rely on a defined list of columns, it becomes difficult to bake-in
such a functionality of fetching N columns at a time.

Like Eric said, such functionality depends on your specific application which would have a
better knowledge of the set of columns that may be present.

That being said, an example showing how this can be done using custom ranges and/or a custom
Accumulo iterator would be of merit to others, IMO.
