I think it's ok to break this going from 1.4 to 1.5.  The shell is not so great that people
are writing large, complex scripts with it.

I think that improving the user experience with day-to-day activities is better than some
12-month old 6-line script someone wrote to automatically reconfigure their development database.

We should mark changes that might cause an incompatibility with a tag so we can clearly document
them at release time.
