"default directory must be absolute" Exception Seen When Starting Shell
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: ACCUMULO-518
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ACCUMULO-518
             Project: Accumulo
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: David Medinets
            Priority: Minor

I made this a minor bug because it does not seem to impair functionality. The shell, once
started, seemed fine. I am running accumulo on a single laptop. Accumulo was running for 24
hours with about 1B row-value pairs. The exception, shown below, was displayed on my console
but does not appear in any accumulo log.

hadoop: /usr/lib/hadoop-0.20.2
jdk: /usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk-i386
accumulo svn revision: 1308659

medined@bashi:/media/GY/yellowbox$ $ACCUMULO_HOME/bin/accumulo shell
-u root -p password
